Experience A Bounty Of Food And Wine During The Fifth Annual Pebble Beach Food & Wine
WHAT: The Fifth Annual Pebble Beach Food & Wine is a few weeks away, and select tickets are still available to experience the top chefs and winemakers at The Inn at Spanish Bay, part of the iconic Pebble Beach Resorts. This four-day getaway for the ultimate foodie or oeneophile is produced by Coastal Luxury Management and presented by American Express Publishing. Event highlights include:
- Farewell to Foie Gras: Love it or loathe it, foie gras is an epicurean focus these days. A mainstay of classical French cooking, fatty duck liver remains an integral ingredient that, like Champagne and caviar, implies ultimate luxury. This special celebration of foie will be presented by Michael Ginor of Hudson Valley Foie Gras and showcased by top chefs like Andre Bienvenu and Chris Cosentino for a "farewell" lunch celebration.
- Anne Burrell - Cook like a Rockstar!: Fans of Chef Anne Burrell know and adore her for her extensive television appearances on programs like "Iron Chef," "The Best Thing I Ever Ate," and "Worst Cooks in America." A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and a protege of Chef Mario Batali, Anne is returning to Pebble Beach Food & Wine to share her tips for cooking like a rockstar at home in this one-hour experience.
- The Legacy of Jess Jackson: The legacy and impact of wine pioneer Jess Jackson are difficult to accurately measure; the experiences of his life paralleled the evolution of the wine industry at-large in California. Jackson made chardonnay a household name, and his uncanny ability to pick winning wineries (not to mention thoroughbreds) was legendary. Join a team of hand-selected Northern California chefs at the one-year anniversary of Jackson's passing to celebrate his achievements. Bay Area favorites like Michael Chiarello, Richard Reddington, Justin Wrangler and Elizabeth Faulkner will honor Jackson by pairing their cuisine with benchmark wines from Kendall Jackson, Hartford Court, Verite, and Stonestreet, in what promises to be a meal worthy of this wine icon.
- Grand Finale with Champagne Dom Perignon: This year's Grand Finale pairs Moet & Chandon's prestige cuvee, the legendary Dom Perignon, with exquisite courses from the weekend's top chefs designed to complement a survey of the Champagne's best vintages.
