Fiamma: The Freshness Of Spring
Widely acclaimed New York restaurant Fiamma, delighted with its “Best New Restaurant” nomination from the prestigious James Beard Foundation, is basking in spring fever.
Since opening in SoHo in the winter of 2002, Fiamma has been thrilling diners with notable cuisine, commendable service and its chic, three-story location at 206 Spring Street. The restaurant has been awarded three stars by every major restaurant critic, including William Grimes of The New York Times. Fiamma's chef, Michael White, was chosen as "Chef of the Year" by John Mariani of Esquire, and "One of the Best Chefs in New York" by Gael Greene of New York Magazine in recognition of his homemade pastas and flavorful interpretations of multi regional Italian cuisine.
Executive chef White and pastry chef Elizabeth Katz are focusing on seasonal spring ingredients, and will be introducing new menu items that befit Fiamma’s aspiration of creating dishes that represent the finest flavors of Italy in the springtime.
