Finalists Announced For 2003 Annual Ih/m&rs Gold Key Awards
An international selection of lodging and restaurant properties have been named finalists for the 23rd Annual IH/M&RS Gold Key Awards for Excellence in Hospitality Design. Twenty-one projects from thirteen design firms were selected from more than 150 entries. Award finalists and winners in each of the seven categories will be
recognized during the 88th annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show. (IH/M&RS), at the Gold Key Awards breakfast on November 10, 2003 at the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel.

The 2003 finalists represent the most creative and original designs from around the world, said Christian Falkenberg, show manager. The emerging trends presented by these visionary designers brings excitement to the Gold Key Awards and the industry at large.
Judges for the 2003 Gold Key Awards were Chester Deptula, Surrey Hotel; Tony Fortuna, Lenox Room; Tag Galyean, TAG Studios; Jordan Mozer, Jordan Mozer & Associates, Ltd.; and Andi Pepper, Andi Pepper Interior Designs. Judges considered design creativity, aesthetic value and commercial viability when making their selections.
Finalists will be recognized and Grand Prizes awarded in each of the competitions seven categories during the Gold Key Awards Breakfast, Monday, November 10, 7:30 10:00 a.m., at New York Citys Waldorf=Astoria. In addition, one winner will be announced as Best of Show. This years keynote address will be presented by 1992 Gold Key Award recipient Jeffrey Beers, founder and principal of Jeffrey Beers International (JBI).
