Celebrated Food Writer and TV Personality David Rosengarten to host A Summer Bouquet gala dinner at The Corning Museum of Glass

CORNING, NEW YORK, June 25, 2001 -- David Rosengarten, one of America's most recognizable and noted food personalities, will be the special guest host for A Summer Bouquet, to be held at the Corning Museum of Glass on Friday, June 29, 8:00 - 11:00 p.m.

This gala evening will give attendees the opportunity to sample the "best of the best" wines - the Gold Medal Winners from the 25th International Eastern Wine Competition, judging for which was recently held at the Museum. Each of the Gold Medal-winning vintners will be represented and Mr. Rosengarten will draw on his culinary expertise to offer suggestions for food pairings appropriate to each wine.

Mr. Rosengarten also will provide one of his popular cooking demonstrations, which will incorporate one or more of the winning wines, and be available to sign copies of his latest cookbook, Taste, available for purchase at the event. One of the culinary world's most popular figures, Mr. Rosengarten is co-anchor of "In Food Today," as well as chef/host of "Taste," both on the national Food Network. "Taste" was nominated by the prestigious James Beard Foundation as Best National TV Cooking Show and the New York Times recently praised Taste noting that, "Mr. Rosengarten has reconceived the idea of what a cooking show can be."

In addition to Mr. Rosengarten's expertise, guests at the elegant Summer Bouquet will have the opportunity to taste a mix of sweets, savories and regional specialties while enjoying the music of the Duvid Smering Jazz Ensemble in a garden-party atmosphere.

A Summer Bouquet/2 Price for the evening is $75 per person for non-museum members and $65 per person for members. All proceeds to benefit The Corning Museum of Glass. For reservations call: 607-248-1592.
