Food Fete Seeks Food Companies For Press Event In New York

Food Fete, creator of exclusive, invitation-only press receptions for the gourmet food and beverage industry, today announced it will produce a Food Fete media reception July 11 in New York City, offering food and beverage companies the opportunity to showcase their newest products before a group of invited journalists.

Food Fete, which recently featured 24 companies at its debut event Jan. 24 in San Francisco, is a platform for gourmet food and beverage companies to mix and mingle with journalists in an upscale, cocktail party setting. The event is particularly well-suited for specialty food companies with new products having little or no market awareness that want to introduce themselves to consumer and trade food journalists.

"Food Fete goes to the heart of helping companies gain exposure by establishing personal relationships with journalists, which is central to executing successful PR programs," said Jeff Davis, Food Fete founder. "After completing our first event, Food Fete has shown it can help companies gain journalists' mindshare for their products, while helping journalists discover terrific new products that sometimes get overlooked at large tradeshows."

"We found Food Fete in San Francisco to be particularly valuable for making important media contacts, which we anticipate will lead to national exposure for our growing company," said Laura Ly, public relations manager for Sugar Bowl Bakery. "Food Fete's intimate size helped us get noticed by some influential members of the press that we might not have otherwise met."

Food Fete in New York will be limited to approximately 30 companies to keep the event intimate. Companies interested in participating should contact Food Fete at exhibitors@foodfete.com. Sponsorship opportunities also are available for companies wanting to raise their profile among food and beverage manufacturers and media. Food and lifestyle journalists interested in attending Food Fete may request an invitation by e-mailing their contact information to press@foodfete.com.
