Food Network To Feature Maine-based Gifford's Ice Cream On New, April 12 Episode Of
Gifford's Ice Cream (www.giffordsicecream.com), Maine's multiple-award-winning ice cream company, will be featured on Food Network's popular "Unwrapped" show, Lindsay Gifford, the company's vice president of sales and marketing, announced today. The new episode, titled "21st Century Chocolate," will air April 12 at 8:30 p.m. EST.
The family-owned ice cream business was visited by a film crew from Food Network late last year, following news of Gifford's Ice Cream's perfect score earned for its "World's Best Chocolate" win at the 2009 World Dairy Expo.
The chocolate-focused episode will spotlight Gifford's much-loved "Chocolate Lover's Chocolate," and Gifford's proprietary process, which blends antique ice cream churners with a state-of-the-art freezing system. The episode is expected to re-air on the network throughout spring and summer of this year.
