Frank Mccormick Named Director Of Operations

In 2009, vintner Ray Signorello Jr. expressed a clear vision for his boutique family property to make the best possible wines from his estate in true 'Vigneron' style and and create a new guest experience, 'the Enoteca,' at a level that would make it one of the 'must have' winery destinations for food and wine lovers. He renamed his property Signorello Estate at the beginning of this year as an expression of this multi-year plan to restructure and enhance the property's approach to vineyard management, winemaking, visitor center, direct sales/marketing and physical plant/winery. On August 1st, Frank McCormick will assume the newly created title of Director of Operations as a key part of this strategic realignment.

"Frank is a wine industry veteran with the precise experience we will require to execute a restructure of our operations over the next five years," notes Signorello Jr. "We feel very fortunate to have Frank joining our team at this critical time," he continues. "Our competitive industry requires personnel that can innovate and re-think the way we do everything at the winery."

McCormick comes to Signorello Estate having performed a myriad of management functions over the last eight years for three of the best known wineries in Sonoma and Napa counties. He set up the retail wine shop and managed customer relations for Del Dotto Vineyards, helping that winery double its retail sales from 2003 - 2005. He, once again, doubled sales as the retail sales manager at Jordan Vineyards & Winery during his tenure from 2005 - 2008 and, for the last two years, he has restructured direct-to-consumer channels at Dry Creek Vineyards, including point-of-sale systems, targeting an increase in food traffic, enabling the winery to meet its $2 million sales goal despite the negative economy. McCormick has a passion for all phases of winery operations and holds a Level 1 Master Sommelier credential.

Signorello Estate wines are currently receiving some of the most consistently high scores in Napa Valley as a result of exceptionally high quality vineyard management and production values that are hallmarks of the world's great wine estates. Earlier this year, the winery launched the Enoteca Signorello, a culinary experience at Signorello Estate designed to raise awareness and appreciation for food and wine pairings in an unparalleled setting - 'A pinnacle food and wine experience,' according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

"The name change to Signorello Estate is the ultimate expression of our transition from a family that has grown fine grapes for others to a true Napa Valley estate winery that grows grapes and bottles rare and fine wine exclusively under its own label - a gift from the Signorello family to share with families worldwide who value quality and excellence," Ray concludes.

Varietals currently bottled under the Signorello Estate label include:

Cabernet Sauvignon Padrone Proprietary Red Wine

Seta Proprietary White Wine Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes

Chardonnay Hope's Cuve Syrah
