Free Healthy Cooking App Teaches Young Adults How Cook...heathier!
TRUFFLEHEAD STARTER (http://bit.ly/TruffleheadStarter) a free mobile cooking app for iPhone and iPad, was released today to help students and young professionals learn how to prepare quick, healthy, affordable, eco-friendly meals. Uniquely designed for inexperienced and intermediate cooks, it has everything they need to learn the basics, improve their skills, and expand their repertoires.
TRUFFLEHEAD STARTER gives users a free taste of TRUFFLEHEAD, one of Apple's New and Noteworthy, Top 25 Lifestyle, and What's Hot apps of 2012. It is unique among "lite" cooking apps in that it offers ALL of the functionalities of the paid version in a package containing 20 of the paid app's 270 recipes.
Cooks of all skill levels will find valuable nuggets of information beneath the surface of all recipes. Users can tap a hyperlink to view an unfamiliar ingredient and learn how to select and store it. Then, they can watch a multimedia demo to see how to prepare it. Because the technique demos are step-specific, users don't have to sit through a full recipe walk-through. They can skip familiar material and access only what they need to know, when they need to know it.
"Trufflehead Starter is the only free app that provides so much support for developing cooks, and it's all organized for maximum convenience. But it's more than just an app. There's an online community at www.trufflehead.com where users can upload photos of their Trufflehead creations and even blog about them. This app is really an 'I'm there for you' cooking experience. With Trufflehead, anyone can make it happen in the kitchen," said Deborah Chud-physician, cookbook author, food blogger, and Trufflehead founder.
