French Wine Society Bolsters Membership Activities with New Director

WASHINGTON, DC, July 7, 2014 – The French Wine Society, the leading provider of French wine study and certification programs, has added a Membership Director to its management team. As the French Wine Society gears up for its tenth anniversary, the organization seeks to bolster its efforts in serving its members by increasing the time and energy dedicated to members’ services and expanding upon existing benefits and services
Tracy Ellen Kamens, Ed.D., DWS, CWE has been tapped for the new Membership Director role, bringing a combination of wine industry and professional development experience to the position. In her new role, effective June 1, 2014, Tracy is responsible for membership retention as well as expanding the organization’s membership base. She will also develop and manage membership acquisition and retention programs and activities.
President and founder, Julien Camus, noted that, “We are delighted to bring Tracy on board in this capacity and know that she will help support us in our membership goals.” These sentiments are shared by Lisa M. Airey, Education Director, who added that, “We look forward to Tracy’s energy, enthusiasm and experience. She’ll be a great asset to our organization as a whole and to our members in particular. As a wine educator, writer and consultant, Tracy Ellen Kamens has taught at the International Wine Center, New York University, Cornell University and Baruch College and previously served as a full-time education consultant for the Society of Wine Educators. Other recent clients have included: Wine & Spirit Education Trust, Consorzio Chianti Classico, Alliance des Crus Bourgeois, Balzac Communications, Consorzio Prosecco Superiore and Sopexa. She also spent time at Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits in their public relations department.
