GRILL SEAFOOD LIKE AN ITALIAN WITH SPIAGGIA CHEF/PARTNER TONY MANTUANO AT A HANDS-ON COOKING CLASS SATURDAY, JUNE 24, 2006

CHICAGO (May 31, 2006) - On Saturday, June 24, Chef/Partner Tony Mantuano invites guests to join him he continues his 2006 cooking class series at Spiaggia (980 N. Michigan Avenue, 2nd Level). Next up: Grilling Seafood Like an Italian. Ideal for anyone who loves to cook, the hands-on class will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Spiaggia's kitchen and will provide a distinct opportunity to learn grilling techniques and four, sure-to-impress summer recipes from one of the country's leading chefs. The class will be followed by a luncheon (featuring the class menu) paired with wines.

The delicious summer seafood menu includes:

Sogliola con Aglio e Capperi
Grilled Dover Sole with spring garlic, capers and extra virgin olive oil

Calamari con Peperoncini Calabrese e Limone
Grilled Calamari with Calabrian chili peppers and lemon

Spaghetti alla Chitarra
Spaghetti alla Chitarra with grilled orata, cherry tomatoes, basil and olive oil

Frutta alla Griglia
Grilled Stone Fruits with ricotta gelato

Grilling Seafood Like an Italian is the second in a series of cooking classes led by Chef Mantuano throughout the year. To follow include: Entertaining, Wine Bar-Style, August 19 and Interactive Cooking for the Fall, October 21.

Spiaggia features luxurious, regional Italian cuisine by James Beard Award-winning Chef/Partner Tony Mantuano and Executive Chef Missy Robbins. The restaurant is open for dinner Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m.; Monday through Thursday from 6 to 9:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. The restaurant accepts all major credit cards. Validated parking
is available at One Magnificent Mile Parking located at 120 East Walton, or at 100 East Walton Street (just west of Michigan Avenue).
