That Guy's Got Ambition! Business Owner, Celebrity Chef And Now Author

Marc Renson pens "tell all" book of hilarious anecdotes in his memoir "Is the Coffee Fresh?" drama, dysfunction and daily life at a downtown coffeehouse - Renson is the Entrepreneur/chef/author of Ambition Coffee and Eatery located at 154 Jay Street Schenectady, New York.

Ambition Coffee and Eatery, opened in April of 2000, it's a funky, urban bistro specializing in unique sandwiches and wraps. It offers homemade gelato, soups and salads, a coffee bar, fine candies and is equipped with a full bar. Ambition is "home" to its regulars, Broadway touring show companies and celebrities. As Marc states, "Like attracts like and I like food, music and Hollywood...Welcome to my Ambition!"

The idea of writing a book came into Renson's mind in 2002 as he was asked for the very last time...is the coffee fresh? So he started scribbling his notes down on napkins, receipts, paper cups or any other handy pieces of paper that piled up inside his drawer until finally finding the inspiration to write. After many rejections from publishers, Renson originally self published his book and sold an astonishing 700 copies on his own. Renson took that success and resent his book of dreams out to publishers again and was signed by 23 House Publishing in Jefferson, TX.

Renson holds an Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts from SUNY Schenectady County Community College. But he also gives credit to the School of Hard Knox. He said, "Everything happens for a reason and that there is a purpose for meeting all the people along the way."
