WHAT: 11TH Annual HARVEST IN THE SQUARE tasting event showcases over 45 top-rated restaurants from Union Square. The neighborhood's hottest culinary masters present unlimited generous "tastings" of seasonal fare, prepared with fresh farm produce from the Greenmarket Farmers Market, paired with wines from Long Island, New York state and around the globe, and New York microbrews. Rain or shine!

WHO: 1,100 guests are expected to attend the event. This year's Restaurant Chair is Chef Cyril Renaud, Fleur de Sel restaurant. Event Honorary Chairs are Danny Meyer, Union Square Hospitality Group; Eric Petterson, The Coffee Shop and Luna Park; Michael Romano, Union Square Cafe.

Harvest In The Square is a fundraiser benefiting Union Square Partnership's neighborhood initiatives including improvements to Union Square Park. Proceeds from Harvest In The Square 2006 will help fund the multi-million dollar Capital Campaign for the Completion of Union Square Park. This exciting initiative will enable the neighborhood realize its goal of a glorious northern gateway to the park, which will include expanded playgrounds, a restored pavilion and enhancements to the Greenmarket plaza.
