The Healthy Side Menu Is Winning Fans at Another Broken Egg
(March 1, 2013)-Another Broken Egg is pleased to offer diners eight new healthy choices for breakfast, lunch and brunch. These lighter options provide a delicious experience with something for vegetarians, vegans and gluten conscious diners in the mix. The Healthy Side menu has been introduced in all of the award-winning company's 26 current locations spread over eight states. Newcomers include Black Bean Sliders, a Gluten Free Friendly Jumbo Pancake, the Skinny Omelette, Simply Salmon, Granola, Fruit & Quinoa, Steel Cut Oats, Seasonal Fruit Plate, and the Yogurt & Fruit Parfait. Prices may vary slightly depending on the area of the country, but on average range from $4.99 to $11.99 for these new additions.
"Our new lighter, health-conscious dishes are the collaborative effort from talented people working for a common goal, creating extraordinary dishes from years of culinary experience," states Another Broken Egg Founder & President Ron Green. "The Granola, Fruit & Quinoa is our proudest addition to the healthy section of our menu. This dish features five super foods: blueberries for anti-oxidants, honey for its allergy alleviation, coconut for its natural fat, quinoa for plant protein and almonds. Finished with yogurt and coconut toasted bananas, this dish is flavorful. We can't tell you exactly how well this stacks up in terms of previous menu items as there was nothing like it on the menu. What we can tell you is that it is re-ordered often and enjoyed by all ages and demographics."
Another popular newcomer is the Steel Cut Oats which replaces traditional oatmeal. Steel-cut oats are less processed so they are higher in natural minerals. The "al dente" texture and the addition of local honey is an instant success with diners. Another Broken Egg is currently seeing a 10-15% increase in the sales of this dish company wide. Then there is the Simply Salmon loaded with omega 3's. This hearty fish is accompanied with fresh sauted veggies, topped with a no fat jicama slaw and brled lemon. It is enjoying a comfortable 30% increase in sales over its tuna counterpart on the menu.
The new Skinny Omelette features house-made balsamic vinaigrette marinated roasted red peppers, onion, whole peeled garlic cloves combined with smooth goat cheese topped with fresh herbs. The omelette is served with fresh fruit and it is low in cholesterol and under 500 calories. The Skinny Omelette competes daily for the number one spot of all omelettes ordered on Another Broken Egg's extensive menu, and some days it is the companywide best seller. Also less than 500 calories, are the Black Bean Sliders on gluten-free friendly bread with avocado and jicama slaw, served with a small salad with balsamic vinaigrette. These gluten-free friendly sliders are gaining popularity with diners at Another Broken Egg, as they are a great vegan option. They feature Another Broken Egg's preservative free and trans fat free, house-made black bean cakes.
Another Broken Egg offers an "egg-ceptional" experience serving fresh, nutritional food with over 130 menu items to choose from for breakfast, brunch and lunch.
