Hobart to Auction off Painted Vintage Mixers for Charity on eBay
Proceeds from Auction will Benefit C-CAP

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TROY, Ohio - June 21, 2010 - Hobart today announced a program to auction uniquely painted vintage mixers to raise money for the Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP).
This initiative is part of Hobart's "Mixed Up Jake" campaign, a social media program that features Jake Murphy, a character created by Hobart, to creatively engage those who are passionate about Hobart mixers. The program is designed to not only foster the generous donation of funds for C-CAP, but also encourages this culinary community to interact, share ideas, participate in future contests and eventually, create their own original mixer designs. All of the proceeds from auctioning off Jake's custom painted vintage mixers will benefit C-CAP.
"This program provides Hobart with an opportunity to bring together community of passionate culinary professionals to interact in new ways we haven't previously explored," said Sarah Puls, vice president, brand marketing for ITW Food Equipment Group - North America. "It's also an opportunity to give back through C-CAP."

The first of the painted mixers to be auctioned off is a one-of-a-kind restored and refinished 20 quart A200 Hobart Mixer, painted in a Classic Woody Wagon theme. The style is inspired by the classic woody-style wagons of the 1970s and features Auto Air premium custom paint treatment in green acid sparkle, (vinyl) wood trim and real vintage body chrome for the Classic script on the side. Support C-CAP and bid on this mixer by visiting http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170503325567&ssPageNa....

"C-CAP is extremely pleased to be receiving support from one of the industry's leading manufactures of commercial kitchen equipment. We hope that the auction of the uniquely designed classic Hobart mixers will raise awareness for the work we do as well as needed funds to help us operate. The person with the highest bid will not only get a great mixer, but will be helping to change the lives of some deserving young people," said C-CAP Founder and President Richard Grausman.

The auction will end July 1, 2010. Additional themed mixers are planned.
