Home Cookn - Korean Style At The Seoul International Food
Now in its third year, the Seoul International Food Expo 2002, is a global competition and festival of culinary cultures both in its size and diversity of events. From June 14 19, at the COEX Exhibition Center, Pacific Hall, international chefs will compete for a grand prize of US$10,000, as visitors experience tasty cuisine and extraordinary epicurean creations representing over 15 nations.
Mun-Su Kang, Chairman of the Korea Cooks Association notes, Going into the 21st century culture and tourism will determine a nations competitiveness. We feel that Korean culinary culture and our tourism industry are blessed with a golden opportunity, as the eyes of the world are focused on Korea for the coming of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan soccer competition. The Seoul International Food Expo 2002 will contribute and serve as a catalyst for our tourism industry as the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Korea National Tourism Organization take a supporting role in acknowledging worldwide excellence through the art of cooking.

The regulations for this international competition will be published by the Seoul International Food Expo 2002 Organization Committee in a regulation handbook.
Application and Registration
Registration deadline is May 31, 2002. Please apply early.
