Hudson Valley Restaurant Week Gains National Exposure Through Affiliation With Starchefs.com

StarChefs.com, the award-winning online "magazine for culinary insiders" that highlights up-and-coming chefs and restaurants across the country, will feature information about many of the 81 chefs and restaurants participating in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, March 22 through April 3.
"We're very excited to be able to bring this additional exposure to the great restaurants in the Hudson Valley," says Janet Crawshaw, organizer of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week and publisher of The Valley Table magazine.
"StarChefs is supporting Hudson Valley Restaurant Week because we want to provide recognition to the local chefs who are buying from local farms in the Hudson Valley," says Will Blunt, managing editor of StarChefs. "There is great interest in the culinary world for working directly with producers in a 'farm-to-table" relationship, so much so that local food is fast becoming a new component of American cuisine."
StarChefs has been serving the food service industry since 1995. The website has featured celebrity chefs such as Bobby Flay and Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and is the industry's leading resource for chef recipes, jobs and awards, culinary trends and cooking techniques.
Now celebrating its third year, Hudson Valley Restaurant Week has already raised its profile through the involvement of Tim and Nina Zagat, the world's leading provider of consumer survey-based information, who serve as co-chairs of the event. With StarChefs' involvement, the Hudson Valley stands to gain additional national recognition as a major culinary destination with a focus on farm-to-table dining.
Major sponsors for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week include The Journal News, 100.7 WHUD Radio, StarChefs.com, The Gold Standard Marketing Communications, Westchester County Tourism, Dutchess County Tourism, American Express, The Thayer Hotel, Millbrook Vineyards, M&R Energy Resources Corp., Hudson Valley Wine Country, Sysco and Hudson Valley Bank.
