THE HUNGRY CAT SANTA MONICA CELEBRATES 4TH ANNIVERSARY WITH CHANNEL ISLAND SHELLFISH BOIL 4/26

David Lentz’s seaside restaurant, The Hungry Cat Santa Monica Canyon, celebrates their 4th anniversary with a Channel Islands Shellfish Boil on Sunday, April 26. 2015.

In tribute to the fishermen that supply The Hungry Cat with the freshest products from our local waters, Lentz and Longley have created a seafood feast sourced almost exclusively from the Channel Islands, just north of Los Angeles. Beginning with a starter of Grilled Asparagus & Burrata Salad, with fava bean puree and black olive salsa verde, guests will be served a hearty family style Channel Islands Shellfish Boil of local rock crab, swordfish, ridgeback shrimp, clams, mussels, squid and The Hungry Cat’s pork and shrimp sausage, served with fennel aioli. Included are sides of Wood-Roasted Globe Artichoke with green goddess dressing and Grilled Corn with Chili Butter and queso fresco prepared on the restaurant’s new wood-fired grill and rotisserie.

Along with the legendary Thirsty Cat market cocktails – Luke’s Lemonade, Greyhound Proper, Pimlico and off-menu fave, the Clash, a selection of wines and specialty beers from interesting producers are offered. The anniversary seafood feast concludes with a spring-fresh dessert of Cornmeal Shortcake, Strawberry & Rhubarb Compote and lemon crème fraiche. Pricing is $55 per guest; food only.

Full raw bar will be served a la carte including 1/2 priced oysters and cocktail specials all day long.
