Ih/m&rs And Gruppo Ristoratori Italiani
The International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show. (IH/M&RS) will say benvenuti to the Gruppo Ristoratori Italiani (GRI), a nationwide group of Italian restaurateurs, this November.
In addition to promoting GRI-member attendance at the Show, two prominent members of the association will participate in the IH/M&RS Restaurant Futurists educational program. GRI Chairman, Tony May of San Domenico (New York City) will present a keynote speech titled Change in Fast Forward, and Christianne Ricchi of I Ricchi (Washington, DC) will serve as a panelist in a session titled A Special Presentation of DiRoNA (Distinguished Restaurants of North America): How Great Restaurants Keep Their Edge in Challenging Times. Full details for the Restaurant Futurists program, as well as all IH/M&RS educational sessions can be found online at www.ihmrs.com.
The membership of Gruppo Ristoratori Italiani represents one of the core market segments that IH/M&RS exhibitors are looking to do business with, said Christian Falkenberg, show manager. In turn, we know GRI members will find a wealth of new resources at the Show to help further grow their businesses.
The Gruppo Ristoratori Italiani delegation will culminate its New York experience, on Tuesday November 11, with the annual Vino E Cucina fundraiser benefiting GRIs educational fund and culinary scholarships . The event features 15 restaurants from across the U.S. and over 70 wines from Italys premier vintners. Tickets, which cost $75, are available through GRI at www.gruppo.com, or by calling 212-262-2128.
The IH/M&RS will provide GRI with the opportunity to share our expertise in Italian cuisine with the restaurant community, said David Noto, executive director. At the same time, our members will be afforded increased knowledge and networking circles to enhance their businesses through education and new products.
Gruppo Ristoratori Italiani is a not-for-profit association composed primarily of Italian restaurateurs from across the United States of America.
