NEW ORLEANS - November 29, 2006 - Jackson, located at 1910 Magazine Street, voted "Best New Restaurant" by Gambit Weekly readers, is announcing their New Year's Eve prix fix menu.
Chef Michael Brewer will once again please the palate by offering a six-course menu paired with a variety of wines. The menu will begin with caviar served three ways accompanied with a '97 Bollinger "Grand Annee". Immediately following is a Puff Pastry filled with lobster and shitake mushrooms paired with a Cakebread, Sauvignon Blanc. A light third course of a trio of asparagus paired with a Rosi will offer a respite before the main courses are served. Soup is next with Black and White Truffle Volute paired with Joseph Phelps "Le Mistral". A choice of Wild Coho Salmon paired with Pahlmeyer Chardonnay or Filet Rossini with seared Foie Gras paired with Silver Oak "Napa Valley" is offered for the fifth course. The evening will conclude with a Chocolate Bread Pudding with Orange Butter complemented by a Sandeman Vau Vintage Port.
Jackson promises to host a fabulous New Year's Eve dinner, at a price of $150 per person which is inclusive of tax and tip the limited seating of 80 will disappear quickly!
