The Infinite Monkey Theorem Issues New Releases For 2011; Debuts New White Blend 'the Blind Watchmaker'

Denver-based urban winery, The Infinite Monkey Theorem (IMT), showcases the best in Colorado winemaking innovation with four new releases from the 2011 harvest. All wines have been produced from Colorado-grown grapes.

Additionally, for the first time, IMT debuts a Blind Watchmaker white, featuring a Verdelho with a very fragrant nose with loads of tropical fruit. The palate follows suit offering flavors of tangerine, papaya and guava. The new wines are available for tasting and purchase at IMT's new winery located at 3200 Larimer Street in Denver's River North district, as well as outlets and restaurants across Colorado.

- 100th Monkey, Grand Valley, CO: Notes of dark chocolate and boysenberry. Integrated floral notes of violet and lilac that evolve to blackberry and ripe raspberry. Full bodied with a dense and incredibly rich palate yet nicely reserved. Pair with a second bottle. 120 cases-49.99/bottle

- Cabernet Franc, Grand Valley, CO: Super packed with terrific density and focus. This wine combines powerful layers of black currant, braised fig, green chili, violets, espresso and tobacco with riveting acidity and almost piercing minerality. 820 cases-28.99/bottle

- Malbec, Grand Valley, CO: Dried blueberries, pomegranate, Jordan almonds and vanilla on the nose. Soft and silky palate. Reminiscent of red velvet cake. Bring as your date to a dinner party and impress all your friends. Pair with pizza pie. 820 cases-28.99/bottle

- Syrah, Grand Valley, CO: Strong notes of black tea, anise, blackberry and cherry on the sniffer. The palate is ripe and lush offering up black cherry, cola and molten chocolate. Soft tannins keep it structured and carry through on the finish. Pair with a cozy fire. 350 cases-28.99/bottle

- Blind Watchmaker White: viognier, rousanne, verdelho blend (60 percent Grand Valley, CO, 40 percent Lodi CA.) Very fragrant nose with loads of tropical fruit. The palate follows suit offering flavors of tangerine, papaya and guava. Pure and rich. 1200 cases-19.99/bottle

IMT's new 29,000 square foot location at 3200 Larimer Street at the corner of 32nd St includes sizeable warehouse facilities where IMT wines are being produced this fall. Last year IMT produced 10,000 cases, and expects to double production for 2012. The facility also features a new canning production line for IMT's recently launched range of wines-in-a-can. IMT is also due to launch Colorado's first ever keg-filling station, offering wineries, distributors and importers the ability to custom keg small volumes of wine destined for Denver and Boulder's increasingly popular wine on tap program. IMT will also introduce a chef's garden in the spring of 2013, being planted by Chef Justin Brunson of Masterpiece Deli and soon-to-launch Old Major restaurant.

Additional features for the new site will also include a winery tap room, a concept restaurant featuring a to-be-named Colorado chef, a custom winery growler program featuring recently patented technology, private dining and tasting rooms available for private events as well as IMT Wine Labs. IMT will continue to host its renowned First Friday's open house which coincides with Denver's monthly art walk and open house within the River North district of the city.
