Inyourkitchen.com - An All-video Cooking-and-entertaining Website
Parade Magazine and Dean & DeLuca Among Site's First Partners
SAN DIEGO, May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- InYourKitchen.com, the first of its kind all-video cooking-and-lifestyle website, taps the country's top chefs and food and wine authorities for their signature recipes, cooking tips and techniques, offering home cooks easy to follow, high definition video recipes. Hosted by rising, young chef Diane Stopford, the site takes the cookbook to the next level, providing specially shot, high definition videos to today's anti-apron generation -- those cooks who want to forgo the fussiness and formality of traditional cooking.
Most of the videos are under six minutes and follow recipes step-by-step in clear, up-close shots. They can be paused and restarted at any point for clarity, a feature enhanced by the fact that the videos are shot specially for the site, not re-purposed from a previous television segment or other outlet. Each video is accompanied by an ingredient list that can be conveniently sent to a cell or PDA, providing shoppers an easy way to manage their grocery lists. The site also acts as an online community, providing a place for likeminded cooks to connect and upload their own fun videos, proving that sharing a delicious meal is sometimes just as important as cooking it.
Chefs from acclaimed restaurants such as Go Fish, Tra Vigne and the Carneros Inn in Napa Valley, Grace and Border Grill in Los Angeles, and JRDN in San Diego share their recipes, along with indispensable tips on sourcing the best ingredients. Restaurants in other notorious "great food cities" around the country will be featured soon, with New York slated as the next destination.
Through a partnership with Parade, the most widely read magazine in America, InYourKitchen.com also puts the spotlight on America's favorite foods in connection with Parade's continuing series "What America Eats". "Creating videos with InYourKitchen.com allows us to add another dimension to Parade's 'What America Eats' editorial, entertaining our users while reaching a niche audience of engaged food lovers," says Allison Werder, Senior V.P. of Business Development for Parade.
Additionally, through a partnership with luxury food purveyor Dean & DeLuca, InYourKitchen.com videos are peppered with live links to the Dean & DeLuca site, so home cooks can quickly and easily seek out the same gourmet ingredients the chefs are using. "The first thing we noticed about InYourKitchen.com was the high quality of the videos. This partnership gives us the opportunity to impart new and exciting knowledge to our customers in a way you just can't do with flat text," says Deb Stockman, vice president of marketing for Dean & DeLuca.
A kitchen glossary and measurement conversions are available on the site, along with weekly columns on hot topics written by food artisans and experts. To ensure the highest quality cooking and dining experience, chefs are available to answer questions through an online blog and forum now, and will ultimately be available live in video chats. Wine and serving suggestions are also part of the free membership, along with tips, tricks, and advice for entertaining, from beach barbecues to baby showers.
