Iron Hill Offers Oktoberfest Beer And Food Pairing

IRON HILL'S PERFECT MENU PAIRING FOR OCTOBER:
OKTOBERFEST
PAIRED WITH HANDCRAFTED BREWS

In celebration of autumn and in the grand spirit of Munich, Germany's famous beer festival, the five area locations of Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant are proud to offer a special beer-pairing menu, which guests can enjoy throughout October. The two-course menu, for $19.95, will highlight the traditional tastes of Bavaria, while accentuating the superb pairing of Iron Hill's award-winning brews when combined with these seasonal rich and hearty dishes.
"So far the response to our monthly beer pairing dinners has been really positive," says Mark Edelson, co-owner and director of brewing for Iron Hill. "Oktoberfest is one of our most festive times of the year, so needless to say we are very excited about this latest pairing menu."
Throughout October, Iron Hill will offer guests a special Oktoberfest pairing menu and daily Bavarian specials throughout the month at all five locations. The menu includes: Crispy Potato Cake, with applesauce, goat cheese and parsley-horseradish sauce, paired with Anvil Ale; and Grilled Pork Tenderloin, with buttery smashed Yukon gold potatoes, braised red cabbage, sautied apples with rosemary and a whole grain mustard cream sauce, paired with Iron Hill's seasonal Oktoberfest beer. Pairing drinks and food is time-honored tradition, but is often attributed as custom practiced only by wine connoisseurs. However in today's world of ever-discriminating tastes, this ritual is meeting its match, not with wine, but beer. At Iron Hill pairing great food with exceptional handcrafted beers, is a key aspect of its recipe for success.
To emphasize the relationship between the flavor profiles found in beer and various cuisines, Iron Hill has instituted its ongoing series of Beer and Food Pairing Menus, which allow guests to explore the parallels between its menus and taps.
Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant produces distinctive, full-flavored, handcrafted beers accompanied by inspired yet informal New American cuisine in a comfortable, casual atmosphere. All of its exceptional beers are brewed on site and include six regular brews and one or more rotating specials.
