Jack In The Box. Restaurants Brings On First Turkey Burger

Jack in the Box. restaurants is teaming up with the National Turkey Federations (NTF) Virtual Menu 2003 program in September on www.eatturkey.com to promote its latest burger creation the Turkey Jack that was introduced in July. Featuring a moist turkey patty topped with melted cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion slices, pickles, ketchup and a mayonnaise-onion sauce on a jumbo bun, the Turkey Jack is the fast food chains first turkey burger.

Operators visiting www.eatturkey.com can learn how Jack in the Box. restaurants creates a new version of a traditional American burger with turkey as the base, comments Sherrie Rosenblatt, NTFs director of public relations. Restaurateurs may find ideas for their own burger menus through Jack in the Box. restaurants offering or by searching our database of 25 turkey burger recipes.

Turkey offers a fresh flavor that appeals to consumers looking for something new and different, says Tammy Bailey, director of menu marketing and promotions at Jack in the Box. restaurants. We think the Turkey Jack will answer customer demand not only for alternatives to beef and chicken, but also for exciting new choices and tastes.

NTFs Virtual Menu 2003 unveils current turkey trends on www.eatturkey.com, with recipes submitted by a wide variety of foodservice operations from casual independents to quick-serve national chains. Each month, a different establishment offers a popular turkey item from their menu, along with a plate shot and a quote from a restaurant representative on the benefits of turkey and why they choose to serve it.

Once Jack in the Box. restaurants Turkey Jack has been featured, it will be added to the Virtual Menu Turkey Trends page joining Arbys, The Fireplace of Boston, Subway and others. There it will continue to be linked to NTFs recipe database of more than 600 innovative turkey applications, including 25 turkey burgers and more than 120 sandwiches.
