FOR 8 DAYS OF HANUKKAH

Chef Suzanne Tracht Tributes her Father Sam Tracht with his Recipe for Traditional Latkes and a Serving of Savory Applesauce

WHAT: To celebrate Hanukkah, Suzanne Tracht, Chef/Owner of Jar, will feature her late father Sam's recipe for traditional potato latkes throughout the week of the annual Jewish holiday festival. Sam Tracht's latkes will be served with Suzanne's Savory Applesauce and Cr�me Fraiche and will be available as a side dish or appetizer in the dining room and at the bar. Pricing is $10 per serving. Suzanne and her father compared their recipes in an article in the L.A. Times in 2004. She echews any method but hand-grating the potato and onions, as taught to her by her father, who learned how to make them from his Lithuanian mother, Ida.

Recipes for both the latkes and the savory applesauce are available on request.
