Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwich Shops Makes Denver Debut

Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwich Shops will hold a grand-opening celebration at its downtown Denver store on Friday, April 1. The store is located at 110 16th Street, which is at the corner of 16th and Broadway.

During the four-hour celebration, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Jimmy John's will sell its award-winning subs (#1 through #6) for $1.50. Soft drinks and chips will be sold for 50 cents each. There will also be prizes and giveaways for several lucky winners, including a digital camera, DVD players and more.

Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwich Shops is unlike any sub shop in the industry; no games or gimmicks, just old-fashioned, homemade sandwiches made from fresh-baked bread, all-natural meats and vegetables that are sliced daily at each restaurant.

Managed by Scott DePree, the Denver store seats 44 and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The store, which opened on November 8, 2004, also offers catering, delivery and accepts all major credit cards.

This is the second Jimmy John's location for owners Dave Stalker and Scott DePree of Savory Sandwiches, Inc. They plan to open several more stores in the Denver metro area. Their first store opened in June 2004 at 4682 S. Yosemite Street in Greenwood Village. Stalker has 20 years of experience as a business owner in the software industry. DePree has 15 years of experience in full-service and quick-service restaurant management.

Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwich Shops was founded in 1983 by 19-year-old Jimmy John Liautaud in a converted garage in Charleston, Ill. In just 22 years, the company has grown to more than 300 corporate and franchised locations in more than 27 states and two countries. The company is known for its obsession with fresh, quality products and high-speed execution. For more information, visit www.jimmyjohns.com.
