Melisse Celebrates Valentine's Day with Three Nights of Romantic Dining



SANTA MONICA, California; January 18, 2013 - Melisse, the celebrated two star Michelin restaurant of Chef Josiah Citrin, celebrates Valentine's Day in Santa Monica, California with three nights of elegant tasting menus. Since Melisse first opened its doors in 1999, Citrin and his restaurant have been a tour de force in the world of fine dining and a fixture in California's culinary landscape.

Opening with the Saint Valentine's Day tradition on February 14th, Melisse's eight-course dinner begins with Citrin's signature Egg Caviar with Lemon-Chive Cr?me Fraiche and American Osetra Caviar followed by Big Eye Tuna with Chrysanthemum, Toasted Almond and Avocado and a course of Artichoke Velout? with Green Garlic-Sweet White Clover, Roasted Tomato. The fourth course is a choice of True Day Boat Scallop with Roasted Beets, Endive and Licorice or Lobster Bolognese with Perigord Truffles ($45 Supplement. ). A fish course continues the feast with Crispy Atlantic Bass with Pea Tendrils, Salsify, Meyer Lemon and Pine Cone. Citrin prepares a Liberty Duck Breast with Brussels Sprout, Lentils and Red Grapefruit or 35 Day Aged Paso Prime Beef Rib Eye with Potato, Onions, Fourme d'Ambert and Charon for the entree.
Desserts complete the feast with Hot Chocolate Cake and Frozen Banana followed by Strawberry, Rhubarb and Rose. The Valentine's Day dinner is offered in two seatings - 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. and 8:15 to 9:30 p.m. Pricing is $250 per guest; beverage, taxes and gratuities excluded.
To extend the holiday with further options, Citrin will serve a modified version of the menu after Valentine's Day on Friday, February 15 and Saturday, February 16, 2013. The seven-course

are available in two seatings - 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. and 8:15 to 9:30 p.m.
