KARISMA RESORTS CONTINUES TO MAKE STRIDES WITH ITS GOURMET-INCLUSIVE CONCEPT
All-Inclusive Management Company Breaks the Mold and Showcases Cuisine as Key Hotel Offering for Guests
RIVIERA MAYA, Mexico (Sep. 22, 2005) - Karisma Resorts Management is announcing several new enhancements and developments to its Gourmet Inclusive offering. This innovative program combines the convenience of an all-inclusive vacation with top services, amenities and cuisine.
"We are very aware that food is an important draw for today's traveler, particularly in Mexico. In fact, we know our hotel guests typically spend 60% of their stay with food and beverage," says Lubo Krstajic, Karismas Executive Vice President. "Travel and cuisine go hand in hand, and today's traveler is a more sophisticated diner. They know what they want." "Our Gourmet Inclusive programs," adds Krstajic, "were designed to inspire our guests with a variety of options and a level of cuisine comparable to the great restaurants they are accustomed to."
Following are some of Karisma's recent initiatives:
Visiting Chef Program - Chefs from the U.S. and Europe are invited to train staff and develop new recipes. Last month, Chef Frances Christian Guillut, a chef recognized for his work with the Cordon Bleu in Paris, the Lucas Carton restaurant in Paris and Le Lion d'Or in Geneva, provided intensive training to Karisma chefs in gourmet cooking and baking techniques.
Contemporary Venues - With several new resorts in Mexico, Karisma has introduced various new, uniquely themed restaurants and bars. In addition to innovative cuisine, emphasized is an overall dining experience. Innovative dicor, premium tableware and a soothing ambience are key features of these newly designed venues. The Klay Talay Restaurant, which was recently launched at Karisma's new El Dorado Seaside Suites property, combines hip dicor with creative Asian cuisine for a unique romantic atmosphere overlooking the sea.
New Menus - Led by Corporate Food and Beverage Manager Jeroen Hanlo, Karisma is continuously developing new exciting cuisine for its guests. This month, Karisma will introduce new menus, featuring dishes including: Potato and Leek Cream Soup with Serrano Ham Crocant, Salmon Mignon with Tiger Shrimp Appetizer Accompanied by Pesto Risotto and Saffron Rice and Caribbean Lobster Tail with Mango Ceviche and White Truffle Perfumed Ruccola.
On-Site Sommeliers - As part of the Gourmet Inclusive program, Karisma has employed a Sommelier at each of its properties to introduce their selection of wines to their guests. Currently, they are contracting vineyards to produce proprietary private label wines, exclusively for Karisma properties.
