Karma Unveils A New Spring Menu

Considered one of Chicagoland's most beautiful Pan-Asian restaurants, Karma (510 East Route 83, Mundelein, IL 847-970-6900), is introducing a new spring menu created by executive chef Robert Packer. Karma's highly praised cuisine combines the tradition of Asian flavors with sophisticated global ingredients that entice the palate.

New appetizer selections include Shrimp & Lobster Summer Rolls ($9), with a sesame peanut sauce; Black Salt and Szechwan Pepper Calamari ($8), served with sweet garlic lime aioli; Shitake Mushroom Potstickers ($8), with a miso tamari dip and Sizzlin' Red Curry Mussels ($9), in a tomato, coconut and lemongrass broth served with grilled naan bread.

If you are looking for a lighter bite, try one of the latest salad creations like the Thai Peanut Noodle Salad ($6), topped with sweet & sour cucumbers, sesame peanut dressing and bean sprouts; Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna Salad ($12), mixed greens, orange segments, red onion, shredded carrot, crispy wonton and sesame ginger vinaigrette. Karma's new menu also offers innovative sandwiches such as Grilled Portobello Mushroom Tofu Wrap ($11) Napa cabbage, roasted peppers, bean sprouts, carrots, hoisin sauce all wrapped up in a flour tortilla, and a Grilled Teriyaki Angus Burger ($12), teriyaki BBQ sauce, pepperjack cheese, caramelized onions in a brioche bun.

Distinctive new entr�es include Orange Peel Tempura Chicken ($15), sesame ginger rice, ginger chili cucumber salad, topped with a yuzu orange glaze; Lemongrass Grilled Prawns ($19), pineapple fried rice, tempura bok choy, in a ginger wasabi butter; Char Siu Lacquered Pork Tenderloin ($17), sweet potato puree and crisps, Asian pear and sunflower sprout slaw, in a yuzu vinaigrette and Thai Ginger Chili BBQ Salmon ($18), sesame jasmine rice, sweet potato crisps, Chinese long beans in a balsamic soy syrup. Pair your entr�e with one of the new side dishes like Shrimp and Pineapple Fried Rice ($6), Sweet Chili Tossed Stuffed Noodles ($4), or Caramelized Szechwan Eggplant ($5).

Karma is open seven days a week 6:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. for breakfast; 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. for lunch; 5:00 p.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday for dinner; and 5 p.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday for dinner.
