Alloro Celebrates the Arrival of its New Liquor License - Party Open to Public
and begins nightly Aperitivo
*Getting Better with Time! *
On Monday, October 26th, Alloro will host a kick-off party celebrating the arrival of its new liquor license. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres will be served alongside $5 cocktails starting at 5pm and going on through the night. Cash only.
Alloro now boasts a full bar staffed by two Mixologists, Megan Gonzalez and Robbie Mooney who are serving Italian cocktail classics such as a Negroni and Bellini. To stay in line with the food menu at Alloro, Chef Salvatore Corea worked with Megan and Robbie to create a cocktail list "revisited" with specialty cocktails such as Licorice Stick and Espresso Martinis. Only top shelf liquor will be available.
Starting on Tuesday, October 27th, Alloro will host an Aperitivo every night from 5pm - 7pm where guests will enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres alongside nightly drink discounts.
Alloro opened in June 2008 with a beer and wine license.

About Alloro:
Taking its name from the herb, Laurel, this family-run eatery on New York's Upper East Side reflects a traditional Italian restaurant concept with a modern flare. The decor is adventurous, like the menu, where Executive Chef Salvatore Corea has taken classic Italian specialties and transformed them into gastronomical creations that surprise and delight. Gina Rotundo, Salvatore's wife, runs the front of the house and organizes special events such as their popular series, Parla come Mangi, an Italian Language Supper Club that offers New Yorkers a unique conversation class while enjoying a delectable Italian culinary experience.
Chef Salvatore has cooked at the James Beard Foundation on two occasions and has received wide acclaim for his cuisine. Eric Asimov of the New York Times wrote," ...we found compositions of exquisite balance in which the chef, Salvatore Corea, brought out the underlying flavors of the ingredients without permitting sweetness to intrude." And, Steve Cuozzo claimed, "Five pasta dishes I had there just might be the best five I've had at any one place this year."
