Chef Jamie DeRosa Introduces New Trio of Guest Chef Dinners
Launching July 14th with Chef Brandon McGlamery of Prato and Luma on Park
Chef Jamie DeRosa is bringing back his popular “Kitchen Collab” series, giving foodies and culinary thrill seekers even more reason to dine at Tongue & Cheek – DeRosa’s whimsical South of Fifth, SoBe eatery. This time, DeRosa is bringing in some friends from Orlando to make matters extra tasty this summer. First up on Monday, July 14, is James Beard Foundation Award nominee Chef Brandon McGlamery, of popular Winter Park eateries Prato and Luma on Park.
In terms of themes and cooking styles, each kitchen collaboration (hence the series’ name) will differ but the end result will be the same – an unforgettable culinary experience featuring a not-to-be-repeated multi-course dinner created by DeRosa and truly talented guest chefs. Each dinner will be priced at $75 per person, excluding tax/tip/alcohol, featuring five amazing courses and some special surprises along the way. Beverage pairings can also be added to each diner’s culinary experience for $25 per person. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Call Tongue & Cheek to reserve your seat at 305.704.2900. Additional editions of “KITCHEN COLLAB” will follow with JBF Award nominees Chef James Petrakis of Cask and Larder and Ravenous Pig fame on Monday, August 25th and Chef Kathleen Blake of The Rusty Spoon on Monday, September 22nd.
After graduating from the California Culinary Academy, Chef Brandon McGlamery passionately pursued his culinary career, seeking exposure to both domestic and international techniques and experiences. He attributes much of his inspiration and success to time spent at notable Northern California dining destinations, including Delfina in San Francisco, French Laundry in Napa, and Chez Panisse in Berkeley. It was in these establishments that he first discovered his love for wood fired foods in the Italian tradition. Since 2006, Chef McGlamery has served as the Executive Chef at Luma on Park, where he has assisted the restaurant in achieving much critical acclaim. With the opening of his second restaurant, Prato, Chef Brandon is thrilled to enchant guests with Italian inspired plates crafted from market-fresh ingredients, and proudly prepared in our Acunto oak-burning ovens. Chef McGlamery’s cookbook, 9 Courses, published in December of 2013, will also be on sale the night of the “Kitchen Collab” at Tongue & Cheek for $25.

Sneak peak of July 14th’s menu includes welcome canapés of Cod Brandade Churros and Lardo wrapped Shishito Peppers with Peanut Chimichurri, main courses including Grilled N Smoked Ricotta Salatta, Charcoal Roasted Pole Beans, Fresh Apricots, Jamon Iberico Toast; Pea Shoot Cavatelli, Local Clams, Shecrab Toast, Green Almond Pesto; a tribute to Rabbit done in variations of the Loin, Mortadella, Belly and Sausage with Heirloom Carrot Agro Dolce and much more.
Tongue & Cheek is located at 431 Washington Avenue. Dinner is served from 6pm to 10pm Sunday; ‘til 11pm Tuesday through Thursday; and Friday and Saturday ‘til midnight. Lunch is served Tuesday through Friday from 11:30am to 3pm and Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 3pm. Happy Hour specials on handcrafted cocktails, beer and wines by the glass nightly from 5pm to 8pm. Tongue & Cheek is closed Mondays.
