Kitchenetta Announces Spring/summer 2013 Menu Additions

SPRING IS IN THE AIR

To celebrate the beginning of spring, Vincent Foti, owner and creator of the popular Ft. Lauderdale Italian restaurant, kitchenetta italian trattoria, 2850 North Federal Highway, has added five new items to the restaurant's already remarkable menu.

kitchenetta always serves generous portions in the true Italian trattoria tradition and these new items are no exception. Foti and his team of chefs begin with the highest quality food products, local whenever possible, organic whenever possible and employs simple from scratch cooking techniques the way your grandfather, aunt or grandmother would use if they were a great Italian cook.

A cutting-edge concept in gourmet Italian food, kitchenetta offers classic Italian cuisine in a post-modern atmosphere.

The new Spring/Summer items include:

Insalata Micro Verde $18

Assorted rainbow micro-greens with Reggiano Parmigiano chunks, grape tomatoes and reduced balsamic

Tubetoni Checca di Capri $24

Small tubular pasta, fresh tomatoes lightly saut�ed in extra virgin olive oil, garlic and basil. Finished with a touch of San Marzano Tomato Sauce and house made mozzarella.

Cavatelli Ortolana $22

Fresh cavatelli with seasonal vegetables saut�ed in extra virgin olive oil, and a touch of chicken broth. Finished with toasted bread crumbs, parsley and parmigiano cheese.

Spaghetti Frutti di Mare Bianchi $29

Shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari, saut�ed in garlic, extra virgin olive oil, natural juices and parsley.

Pizza Paglia e Fieno $19

"These new items are in addition to nightly specials we offer our customers. We always take into account foods and vegetables that are seasonal in nature," Foti explained.

"This April 16 is the start of our 10th year in business. We understand our customers and they know they are in for a treat," he added.

Vincent Foti and his wife, Maria Ferrari-Foti opened kitchenetta - trattoria tipica italiana in the Spring of 2004. The Italian trattoria is traditionally small and informal where the local gentry can have great (casalinga) home style cooking at reasonable prices.
