Korbel Celebrates Fabulous Friendships With Fourth Annual Contest
Having been a part of life's most memorable toasting occasions for 130 years, Korbel California Champagne is once again offering the opportunity to pay homage to those amazing girlfriends that make a difference in everyday life. Korbel encourages women to submit a special toast with their friends for a chance to win an ultimate girl's getaway to the Korbel Winery.
From March 1 through April 30, woman nationwide (where legal) may enter the Korbel Mimosa Girls Getaway online contest at www.korbelgirlsgetaway.com. Pictures say a thousand words so entrants are also encouraged to upload a photo to accompany their toast. The best "Girlfriend Toast" winner and her five friends will win a trip to the Korbel Winery for the ultimate girl's wine country getaway complete with airfare and accommodations for four days of VIP treatment including a vineyard and winery tour, meals prepared by the winery's private chef and poolside spa treatments.
"Who knows you better than your closest friends? In good times and bad they are there to support you," commented Gary Heck, owner and president of Korbel Champagne Cellars. In honor of these wonderful relationships, Korbel encourages women to share a toast with the friends that make a difference in their lives."
Last year's winner was Abby Sanders from Chicago, who submitted a toast of how through thick and thin her best friends have supported each other and are closer than ever. From brunches to lunches, weddings to babies, and even many miles away, the ladies have found every way to stay connected and are more like sisters than friends. This ultimate girls wine country getaway was a much needed reunion for Abby and her five closest friends.
Girls getaways are a hot ticket in travel industry trends and continue to grow in popularity. Experts say that all U.S. women (young, old single, married, divorced, widowed, mothers, daughters and sisters) are the driving force in this trend representing four percent of all U.S. travel spending - some $200 million a year. Spa weekends, beach destinations and shopping trips are high on girls getaway lists, but as this form of travel continues to go mainstream, wine country excursions have become very popular. Korbel is the ultimate girls getaway destination as it is steeped in history, surrounded by beautiful gardens and majestic redwoods and offers award-winning tours, ending in its first-class tasting room, gift shop and top rated delicatessen.
Established in 1882 in Sonoma County's Russian River Valley, Korbel Champagne Cellars produces the United States' most popular mthode champenoise champagne. But the true measure of Korbel's success during its 130 years can be seen in the impact it's had on American consumers and its presence at various celebrations throughout the years. Owned and managed by the Heck family since 1954, Korbel currently makes eleven California champagnes and a limited amount of still wine. In a separate facility Korbel also produces one of the country's most respected brandies.
