Korbel Sponsors Second Annual Charity Poker Tournament
Korbel California Champagne - through its Toast Life Foundation - is proud to sponsor the Second Annual New York City Charity Poker Night presented by The Turtle Ridge Foundation, an organization established by Olympic medalist and four-time skiing champion Bode Miller and his family. The event will take place at Stout in Midtown Manhattan on May 10, 2012.
This year's No Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament will welcome one hundred players and guests for an evening of libations, hors d'oeurves, and competition. Attendees are also invited to participate in live and silent auctions that include unique items, experiences and collectables.
"Korbel is all about celebrating life, and this event brings people together for a fun night of friendly competition while brining awareness to this great cause," said Gary Heck, president and owner of Korbel Champagne Cellars. "We are honored to be partnering with The Turtle Ridge Foundation, an organization that thrives on enriching the lives of communities through recreational sports programs."
About The Turtle Ridge Foundation
People helping People - A Miller Family Tradition
Consistent with his family values of one human being helping another, Olympic Medalist and World Cup Champion, Bode Miller and his family came together in 2005 to establish the Turtle Ridge Foundation. The foundation seeks to provide a voice to people and organizations that empower individuals to solve difficult environmental protection issues and to offer the opportunity for our disabled community and young people to participate in a variety of sports and recreational activities that would not be available to them without our help.
Our Mission
The Turtle Ridge Foundation is proud to be a non-profit organization supporting adaptive and youth sports programs.
About Korbel California Champagne
Established in 1882 in Sonoma County's Russian River Valley, Korbel Champagne Cellars produces the United States' most popular methode champenoise champagne. But the true measure of Korbel's success during its 130 years can be seen in the impact it's had on American consumers and its presence at various celebrations throughout the years. Owned and managed by the Heck family since 1954, Korbel currently makes eleven California champagnes and a limited amount of still wine. In a separate facility Korbel also produces one of the country's most respected brandies.
