Kuleto's Italian Restaurant Organizes Year-long
Executive Chef Jeffrey Freburg and Wine Director Jerry Cooper from Kuleto's Italian Restaurant in San Francisco have organized a year-long series of field trips, taking employees and guests to visit Bay Area farms, wineries and purveyors.
The organized field trips are free to the public and offer guests a first-hand look at the breeding and cultivating of Kuleto's most valued ingredients. Freburg and Cooper enjoy the growing interest their guests are showing in the origins of food products and winemaking and hope to bring the local community closer to purveyors with these interactive, educational excursions.
Participating guests can look forward to transportation to and from the location, a tour of the farm or facility, a tasting of the product and a delicious picnic lunch made by Kuleto's kitchen.
2001 Field Trips include:
March 15: Schramsberg Champage Cellars
May 24: La Famiglia di Robert Mondavi Winery
August 23: Clam Hunt in Pismo Beach
September (TBD): Wine Crush and Iron Horse
November 16: Mushroom Hunt in Big Sur
Kuleto's Italian Restaurant is located at 221 Powell Street in San Francisco. To reserve a spot on any of these trips, please call (415) 397-7720. Space is limited.
