L'auberge Chez Francois Voted One Of The 50 Best Restaurants In The United States

Restaurant patrons have spoken! OpenTable.com, the online restaurant reservation and review site, announced their list of the 50 Best Restaurants in the United States for 2010 with Washington DC's L'Auberge Chez Francois among the top vote getters. Restaurants were rated "Best Overall" based on more than seven million restaurant reviews over the past year. A variety of restaurants across 22 states and Washington DC were among those chosen.

"My father, Francois, who founded the restaurant in 1954, always said his keys to success were simply 'stick to the basics; good food, good ambience and good service.' Guests are served in a warm, congenial and inviting atmosphere reminiscent of the little family inns --or auberge- -that dot the Alsatian countryside. The menu changes with the seasons, using the best ingredients available.

Readers of Washingtonian magazine have voted L'Auberge Chez Francois as their favorite restaurant for 22 years. The restaurant has received numerous awards such as AAA's Four Diamond Award for their outstanding service and quality and is featured often in magazines such as Bon Appetit, Gourmet and Wine Spectator, and regularly holds a top spot in Zagat Survey.
L'Auberge Chez Francois is open for lunch Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Sundays from noon until 3:00 p.m. Dinner is served Tuesdays through Saturdays, 5:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
