Les Dames D' Escoffier, Washington Dc Presents 'art Of The Table'

Restaurant Nora hosts a unique culinary event featuring spectacular table presentations and culinary demonstrations to benefit programs supported by Les Dames d'Escoffier of Washington DC

Who: Les Dames d'Escoffier is an international organization of women leaders in the food, beverage and hospitality industry. The organization seeks to educate and promote women in their community who want to pursue careers in the food industry.

When: Sunday, April 26, 2009 from 1-4 pm

What: Les Dames d'Escoffier celebrates the Art of the Table, a culinary event with proceeds benefiting programs at Les Dames d'Escoffier of Washington DC, which distributes scholarships to women for culinary studies, grants to women's groups and awards to outstanding women for achievements in helping the under-privileged.

The unique event will feature demonstrations by leading local chefs including Janis McLean of the Morrison-Clark Inn, and several others, decadent passed hors d'oeuvres, a stunning array of unique serving pieces and dinnerware for purchase as well as a vintage and gently-used cookbook presentation featuring publications by eminent chefs.

The price of the event is $45 per person, which includes a $15 coupon to be spent on unique table pieces at the event. Credit cards accepted.
