Link Restaurant, Bar And Lounge Introduces Executive Chef Shay Geraud Ohana

NEW YORK, NY (April 2004) Link Restaurant, Bar and Lounge (120 East 15th Street at Irving Place, 212.995.1010) is proud to introduce Executive Chef Shay Geraud Ohana, who has created an all new innovative cuisine that is best described as South of France with an Asian Touch. Offering sensational food and drinks, friendly service, in a comfortable, yet sexy atmosphere at an amazing price value, Link is the ideal destination for upscale, casual dining in Manhattans Union Square.

Known for its first class Flights of Amuse, Link will soon be introducing an exclusive Wine Flight menu that will perfectly match up with the daily Amuse Flights. Diners will be blown away by Ohanas ever changing selection of delicious bite size dishes, such as his Seafood Falafel ($5) made with lobster, shrimp and scallops, and served with sesame-lemon emulsion. Other popular finger-licking starters include tasty Portabella Fries ($5) and Panisses ($5), or chickpea fries. For entries, Ohana offers sublime seafood entrees, including his Tornado of Majestic Salmon ($18) served with crispy potatoes, vegetable ribbons, and carrot-ginger reduction; succulent Wild Striped Bass ($19) with stewed baby artichoke, potato puree and leek frisie; as well as savory meats, such as his signature Kobe Beef Tower ($27), a mouth-watering masterpiece containing fresh bell pepper, sticky rice and wild mushroom-sake sauce.

The ambience at Link is as alluring as the menu. Large open face windows on both street sides entice diners to come in and relax on its cozy banquettes in the intimate candle lit lounge area and dining room. Featuring soft yellow and gray hues, the L-shaped space is centered around one of New York's only island bars. Guests can mingle over refreshing cocktails, such as the Snow Angel ($9), a wonderful blend of bacardi vanilla, frangelico, white godiva and dark crhme de cacao, and the Flirtini ($9), made with Stoli Raspberry, fresh lime and cranberry juice, and topped with bubbly champagne.

Owner Shaul Natan is a seasoned New York restaurateur who has a definitive approach to success through developing and operating restaurants. He founded the Upper East Sides late three-star restaurant, Soleil, as well as the legendary Corrado Bakery & Grammercy Cafi, Inc. Natan is also currently an owner/partner of the Theater Districts two-star Thalia, serving fusion cuisine with Asian influences, and 3 Square Cafi, a full-service cafi and catering company, which shares Links kitchen, and supplies its house made breads and desserts to several high end gourmet shops in NYC.

Link is open six days a week for Dinner, and will soon be serving a daily Lunch menu in its great street side outdoor cafe, as well as offering a special Late Night menu and spectacular Weekend Brunch. The space is available for private parties, with seating for 55 in the dining room, and cocktail space for up to 300.
