The American Culinary Federation, Inc. (ACF), the nation's premier organization for professional chefs and cooks, has awarded Tristar Products, Inc.'s Living Well with Montel HealthMaster blender and Pressure Cooker its prestigious ACF Seal of Approval. The products were submitted for extensive testing and were approved by members of ACF's Seal of Approval committee, effective May 3, 2010.
"I'm pleased that the Living Well with Montel appliances met the rigorous standards set by this leading organization of professional chefs," said Montel Willams. "The American Culinary Federation recognition underscores the ability of the HealthMaster blender and Pressure Cooker to aid the consumer in creating healthy and nutritious meals at home."
Keith Davis, CEC, AAC, chair of the ACF Seal of Approval committee, applied the organization's rigorous testing criteria to the Pressure Cooker and HealthMaster blender, evaluating application, physical properties, performance, packaging standards, and accuracy of labels and marketing materials.
"The Pressure Cooker was tested using a variety of hot and cold entres and hot-food preparations, and passed all of our committee's standards for excellence," said Davis. "The HealthMaster blender was also tested using a variety of hot and cold sauces and soups, as well as hot- and cold-food preparations for sweet and savory. ACF is proud to allow both products to carry the ACF Seal of Approval distinction."
"We're delighted the American Culinary Federation has recognized the Living Well with Montel HealthMaster blender and Pressure Cooker as having superior quality and reliability," said Keith Mirchandani, CEO of Tristar Products, Inc. "The quality assurance the ACF Seal of Approval conveys gives consumers another reason to select the HealthMaster blender over other models available on the market."
The ACF Seal of Approval program offers foodservice manufacturers the opportunity to have products endorsed by the premier organization of professional chefs in the U.S. Unlike other entities that offer tasting endorsements only, the ACF Seal requires extensive product testing and evaluation. After three years, ACF determines if the product needs to be retested.
