Local And National Cookbook Authors To Sign Books At The Ocean Gateway During Harvest On The Harbor, October 25

Local and national cookbook authors will be on hand to greet the public and sign their books at the Ocean Gateway in Portland on Saturday, October 25 from 10:30 am-4:00 pm as part of the Harvest on the Harbor culinary event.

Well-known cookbook greats such as James Peterson, Kathy Gunst and The Brass Sisters will be among the authors available in the "Lifestyle Lounge" during the Harvest on the Harbor Marketplace. Rabelais, a nationally recognized purveyor of fine new, out-of-print and rare books on food and drink, will have a satellite store in the Lounge all day to offer guest authors' books for sale.

"When we began planning Harvest on the Harbor, we wanted to make sure a portion of the event focused on the wonderful array of foods, wines, and experts available here in Maine," notes Barbara Whitten, president of the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Greater Portland. "Having local cookbook authors such as Kathy Gunst and Kate Krukowski Gooding as well as nationally known experts James Peterson and Rowan Jacobsen available to speak with people and sign their books adds an important dimension to the whole weekend."

The cookbook author signings are free with paid admission to the Harvest on the Harbor Marketplace. Tickets to the Marketplace are $35 ($45 after October 9).
