Luella Launches Takeaway Dinner Program

On Monday July 30th, luella will be launching their "luella in a bag" allowing guests the opportunity to enjoy food from a favorite neighborhood restaurant in the comfort of their own home. The $39 three-course meal for two will change weekly based upon Chef Ben deVries' sustainable, fresh and seasonal menu choices. The takeaway dinner can be picked up curbside, prepared at home and is hassle free!

The week of July 30th will kick off with Chef Ben deVries' take on the classic Italian-American dish, lasagna. Being one of the first cuisines he explored when he was learning to cook, it continues to reside as one of his favorites. The Italian meal starts with his version of a Caesar Salad. He has deconstructed the dressing to make vinaigrette that brings a unique lightness to the classic salad. The next course is luella's tasty Short Rib Lasagna and the meal wraps up with a Lemon-Poppy Seed Cake. The menu items will change weekly highlighting different fare each week.

In addition to the meal, Chef Ben will include some of his favorite luella house made condiments and snacks for guests to incorporate into their own dishes. Herbed Kennebec Chips, Agrumato, Apricot Habanero Jelly, Chardonnay Mustard, luella Mayonnaise and La Venganza hot sauce will accompany each meal and are all produced and packaged inside the four-walls of the restaurant.

To start off, this takeaway program will be available on Mondays and Thursdays with guests required to place orders online at http://store.luellasf.com/ 24 hours in advanced and select a half-hour window for pick up. Following the receipt of the confirmation, the guest will simply arrive at the restaurant at their slotted time and the order will be delivered curbside. A la carte items can also be purchased at the time of the order.
