Lunch Break For Schools Fundraiser Comes To Cities Across America Feb. 27- March 2 In Support Of Acf's Chef & Child Foundation

Most Americans eat out for lunch once a week, so why not plan your dining experience and help make a difference by raising funds to promote proper nutrition in schools? That's the thought behind Lunch Break for Schools, a national fundraiser sponsored by the makers of Hidden Valley Salad Dressings taking place in cities nationwide during the week of February 27 to March 2. The event raises funds for the American Culinary Federation's Chef & Child Foundation (CCF) and ACF chefs' involvement in the Chefs Move to Schools program.

National spokesperson Cat Cora invites you to take a lunch break and support this worthy cause. More than 50 chefs in 25 states have developed a specialty lunch item to sell to the public at a range of venues, from restaurants to food trucks to culinary schools. All items reflect the nutritional values outlined in the White House's 2010 sample lunch menu, which featured whole grains, low-fat dairy products, low salt, low sugar and fresh produce.

Some of the most renowned chefs in the country will participate, including: Miami chef/restaurateur Michelle Bernstein; Seattle's Ericka Burke; Ford Fry of JCT Kitchen & Bar, Atlanta; Suzanne Goin of Tavern, Los Angeles; San Francisco's Russell Jackson; Michael Kornick of MK Chicago; Brenda Langton of Spoonriver, Minneapolis; Dallas' Stephan Pyles; and "Iron Chef" Geoffrey Zakarian of The Lambs Club, New York.
