M. Young Communications: Announces New Wine And Spirit Clients
M. Young Communications, a New York based public relations and events firm specializing in epicurean, hospitality, lifestyle and luxury goods, has expanded its wine and spirits client base with the addition of several new clients.
"Servicing wine and spirits clients, from brands to regions is a top priority for the company. We have added staff whose expertise is specifically in the marketing and branding of wines and spirits, from development of on-premise promotions and special events to press relations," said Ms. Young, agency owner.
The firm most recently produced New York and San Francisco wine tastings for the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino (one of Italy's premier red wines) to preview new releases from the 2001 vintage from more than 50 producers. More than 500 members of the trade and press attended each tasting.
M. Young Communications is managing the national launch of Waterford. Connoisseur Gold Collection, a line of hand-made, mouth-blown crystal stemware by the world's leading crystal manufacturer. The 10-piece glassware was designed to enhance the experience of drinking fine wines and spirits. Activities will include a press lunch and wine tasting at Andrew Carmellini's new restaurant, A Voce, in New York, and in-store retail wine tastings with eight Bloomingdale' s stores nationwide.
M. Young Communications handled the launch of two super-premium spirits: Frida Kahlo Tequila, an artisinal Tequila made in Jalisco, Mexico, and Roberto Cavalli Vodka, a grain vodka made in Italy. Activities include launch events in New York, Miami and Angeles and national trade and consumer press management.
The firm is entering its sixth year serving as public relations agency-of-record for Wines from Spain. The year-long program includes the production of five Great Match: Wine & Tapas walk-around tastings scheduled for New York, San Francisco, San Diego, Washington, DC and Miami.
On April 3, M. Young Communications will organize a barrel tasting for the press for the launch of the Long Island Merlot Alliance's Merliance, to promote Long Island as the leading appellation for Merlot in the New World.
On June 27, M, Young Communications will produce the second annual Vino in Villa in New York, a tasting of more than 30 DOC Proseccos, Italy's leading sparkling wine, on behalf of the Consorzio Per La Tutela del Vino Prosecco di Conegliano-Valdobbiadene.
