Make Lindemans Lambics A Part Of Your Valentines Day

SEATTLE, WA,Lindemans Lambics are as much a part of Valentines Day as flowers and heart-shaped chocolates. Lindemans Lambics come in four flavorsFramboise (raspberry), Peche (peach), Kriek (cherry) and Cassis (black currant)and are a great alternative to champagne.

Lindemans Lambics are a great addition to Valentines Day, or any celebration, Rich Hamilton, president of Merchant du Vin, said. They particularly appeal to those who dont like beer, because of the rich fruit flavors and champagne-like body.

Each of Lindemans Lambics has its own set of unique characteristics. Framboise has a profound raspberry color and room-filling aroma; it goes great with chocolate desserts. Peche has the refreshing taste of peaches and a rich golden color. Peche was the first peach beer in modern history. Kriek is rose-colored and fruity, with fresh black cherries added. Finally, Cassis is crisp and has the exceptional flavor of fresh black currants

Lindemans Lambics are the worlds rarest beer, produced using the spontaneous fermentation method of brewing. During the process of spontaneous fermentation, wild yeasts from the Senne River Valley combine with locally grown barley and wheat. Afterward, fruit is added to create a secondary fermentation. Lambics are unique because they can take up to two years to produce. They are eventually packaged in 12 oz and 750 ml cork-finished bottles, or in 25-liter kegs.

Lindemans Lambics are the perfect complement to chocolate and desserts and an excellent aperitif. The Lindemans Brewery is consistently ranked as One of the Top 10 Breweries in the World by the prestigious World Beer Championships. Since 1811, Lindemans has been the benchmark producer of the Lambics; it is still run by the Lindemans family.

In addition to the full range of Lindemans Lambics, Merchant du Vin imports Samuel Smith beers and Melbourn Bros. ales from England, Traquair House Ales from Scotland, Orval Trappist Ale and Duinen Abbey Ales from Belgium, and Ayinger and Pinkus organic beers from Germany. Merchant du Vin is also affiliated with the acclaimed Pike Pub and Brewery in Seattle.
