INTRODUCES A RECIPE FOR ROMANCE
TO CELEBRATE VALENTINES DAY
Holderness, NH; February 2004 This February, Executive Chef Jeff Woolley, Sous Chef David Brodt and Pastry Chef Daniel Holmes of the Manor On Golden Pond will prepare a romantic feast for two by uniting fresh seasonal ingredients with a tempting array of flavors from around the world.
The Chefs Choice Recipe For Romance Menu, priced at $220 per couple, is a four-course dinner that starts with Amuse Gueule; a choice of appetizer, entrie and dessert. Begin a romantic evening with Oyster Fritter with Caviar Cream accompanied by a Brie Cheese Heart with Berry Coulis. The enticing appetizer course includes a choice of Scallop and Shrimp Twosome, enticed with Roasted Garlic and Fresh Herbs nestled on Golden Angel Hair Pasta; a Marriage of Foie Gras and Quail Breast embraced with Fifty Year Balsamic laid gently on a bed of Braised Greens; Lobster, Asparagus and Wild Mushrooms draped in a negligee of Creamy Bisque lying under a Float of Caviar; or large, firm Portobello Mushrooms stuffed full of Creamy Boursin Cheese and dripping with Passion Fruit Gastrique.
Guests will feast on entrees of Roasted Full Rack of Exotic Foreign Lamb nestled under a Mustard and Herb Crust with Sautied Wild Mushrooms and Baked Asiago Polenta; Romantic Liaison of Beef & Crab caressed with Citrus Beurre Blanc served with Silky Whipped Potatoes and a Tryst of Baby Vegetables; Well Endowed Breast of Statler Chicken with Pecan Crust lavishly bestowed with a lustful Cream of Carnal Pleasures and Roasted Potatoes interwoven with Steamy Root Vegetables; Lovingly Roasted Atlantic Salmon Fillet, snuggled under a blanket of Phyllo Pastry on a bed of Sticky Risotto and Pepper Relish Minage tickled with Champagne; and Sweet Maple Roasted Vegetables riding high on a hot Nest of Angle Hair in a sensuous Red Pepper Coulis.
After dinner guests can satisfy their sweet tooth with a choice from the pastry chefs Orgy of Decadent Desserts Menu which features Dark Stranger, an edible Chocolate Champagne Flute filled with Champagne Infused Berries; Sticky Situation, fresh Golden Delicious Apples topped with Cinnamon Ice Cream and smothered in a layer of warm house-made Caramel; or treat yourself to an Angles Kiss, a heart shaped Angel food cake filled
with a Light White Chocolate Mousse surrounded by Crhme Chantilly and topped with fresh Strawberries.
A feast for all of the senses, guests will dine amidst the architectural splendor of this historic landmark. The Manor On Golden Pond, an authentic turn-of-the-century English manor house is nestled on the hill offering awe-inspiring views of Squam Lake and the White Mountains to the north. The property features 27 individually designed guest chambers featuring spacious sitting areas, luxurious fabrics and well-appointed bathrooms and the majority have working fireplaces. In the inns public areas and gourmet restaurant, visitors can explore elegantly appointed rooms filled with antiques and fresh flowers that reflect the Manors English heritage.
