Marina Bay Sands Leaps Into The Year Of The Dragon
It is a double celebration this Chinese New Year at Marina Bay Sands with Bayfront MRT station opening just one week before Chinese New Year. This comes as an early bonus for the integrated resort to usher in the Year of the Dragon, as well as to welcome visitors right at its doorstep.
From 14 January, train commuters can arrive directly at the integrated resort via five different entrances at Bayfront MRT station, including Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Sands Expo & Convention Center, and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
Mr. John Postle, Executive Director of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, said: "The opening of Bayfront MRT station completes the transportation routes to Marina Bay Sands, complementing the current options of land and water transport. We are thrilled with this highly anticipated opening as it allows our visitors to access Marina Bay Sands with ease from all parts of the island. This is also a milestone for The Shoppes as the Circle Line extension will bring more traffic for our retailers to prosper in the Year of the Dragon and beyond."
Over 6 January to 5 February, the first 88 shoppers of the day who spend a minimum of S$188 at The Shoppes will be rewarded with a limited edition ez-link card with a S$8 value, a TWG Mandarin Tea macaron pack and Marina Bay Sands red packets. On the first and second day of the Lunar New Year (23 and 24 January), the stored value of this limited edition ez-link card will be increased to an auspicious S$88.

Each will receive a goodie bag filled with a limited edition Marina Bay Sands branded cap, bottled water, a complimentary ticket[1] to the Sands SkyPark as well as a SweetSpot voucher[2].
For every visitor to The Shoppes on that day, an attractive brochure with redeemable coupons and vouchers will also be handed out to them as they soak in the festive roving entertainment in celebration of the Spring Festival. Treats include a S$10 Robinsons gift
voucher[3], a S$50 cash voucher on all chemical services at Action Hair boutique[4], a S$10 cash voucher for buffet lunch or dinner at Carnivore Brazilian Churrascaria[5] and a free instant photo booth experience[6].
