Masa 14 Launches "melting Pot" Series This November

Richard Sandoval's colorful Latin-Asian inspired neighborhood restaurant, Masa 14, located at 1825 14th Street, NW, 20009, is pleased to introduce its Melting Pot series. The Melting Pot will offering guests a special menu in addition to the dinner menu, which will showcase the evolution of cuisine across Latin America and Asia, highlighting how foreign cultures have mingled and melded cuisines overtime. This special menu will be available for one month each quarter. For the month of November, newly appointed Executive Chef Adam Goldman is preparing, Sao Paulo, which will highlight the Chinese and Japanese influences on Sao Paulo, Brazil's culinary landscape, dating back to the Colonial Period. Sao Paulo has the largest Asian-Brazilian population in the country and Goldman's November Melting Pot menu will be available exclusively for dinner service in Masa 14's main dining room.

Guests can anticipate exploring the development of local Brazilian cuisine with Asian flare in the featured dishes such as Caldo Verde, potato and chorizo soup with fresh and crispy kale and potato croutons; Basket of Pastels, beef and shrimp with hearts of palm; Trio of Street Food, chicken and cheese rissoles, Portuguese chorizo and Panela cheese skewers, cheese-stuffed sweet plantains; Vatap� Flatbread with peanut sauce, shrimp, hearts of palm, tomatoes and Oaxaca cheese; Pan Seared Red Snapper with saut�ed collard greens, soy cashew butter and taro root straws and a Trio of Brigadeiros, spicy chocolate, pistachio, coconut and acai gelee. The Sao Paulo menu items range in price from $6-$13. To complement the special menu, three handcrafted caipirinha cocktails will be offered: Lemon-Basil, Strawberry-Basil and the French, each priced between $8-$9.

Masa 14 is located at 1825 14th Street, NW, 20009. Dinner is served Sunday through Thursday from 5 PM to 11 PM, Friday and Saturday from 5 PM to 12 Midnight. An unlimited prix fixe brunch is available Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 3 PM on the main level and the new Banchan Brunch is available on the rooftop on Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 2 PM.
