Just in Time for Ice Cream and Baseball Season New Feature Flavor Joins the Lineup
Remember graham crackers and milk? The sweet crunch of the cracker and fresh cold milk maybe a sprinkle of sugar. Just in time for baseball season, Mayfield Dairy Farms sparks those memories with its newest ice cream flavor, Graham Slam!, sweet creamy graham flavored ice cream with a crunchy, crackery graham cracker swirl and rich chocolate candy pieces.
Who knew that when Sylvester Graham invented graham crackers in 1829 that the flavor of coarsely ground wheat flour slightly sweetened with honey would become an American flavor icon? "One might say Graham Slam! is uncommonly good," muses Scottie Mayfield, president of Mayfield Dairy. "As we were creating this flavor we knew that graham flavored ice cream was really unusual and also knew this had to be the foundation for Graham Slam!"
Mayfield will introduce four new feature flavors this year, including Graham Slam! "To introduce Graham Slam!, our Mayfield Mom Squad is out dipping it at baseball stadiums all over the Southeast," Mayfield added. "We thought it would be a fun way to combine two of America's favorite past-times to share with all kinds of folks."
Graham Slam! Ice Cream will be available in pints and 56-ounce cartons in the grocer's freezer beginning this month.
Mayfield MVPs include top five flavors: Moose Tracks, Homemade Vanilla, Butter Pecan, Turtle Tracks., and Snow Cream. Frozen Dessert.
