Media Advisory: Dine Tampa Bay Restaurant Week 2010

With the launch of DINE Tampa Bay Restaurant Week 2010 - from Sunday, Aug. 29 through Monday, Sept. 6 - Restaurant Week diners can take advantage of amazing deals at many of the Tampa Bay area's finest restaurants. Participating locations will showcase their fare by offering either $25, $30, or $35 prix fixe three-course menus (appetizer, entr�e and dessert) throughout the week. Prices are per person and exclude beverages, tax and gratuities.

Diners can choose from old favorites to the latest culinary hot spots, nationally known chain restaurants to local chef owned bistros, Asian or Spanish fare to Italian, fondue, tapas and sushi, and from the award-winning restaurants of downtown Tampa to the gourmet gems on the beaches.

This annual event will offer visitors, convention attendees and local residents the opportunity to experience Tampa Bay area fine dining restaurants at a value price and expose new customers to the wonderful dining options that are available. As just part of the experience, visitors are encouraged to stay and experience all of Tampa Bay's treasures, including attractions, shopping and hotels.

According to Nation's Restaurant News, "restaurant weeks have become wildly popular; promotions generate tens of millions of dollars in restaurant revenue each year. They also attract hundreds of thousands of diners, many of whom see restaurant week as an opportunity to try an establishment for the first time."

Each participating restaurant will provide a special Restaurant Week menu in addition to their standard menu, which will suggest three options for each course. Dine Tampa Bay 2010 is an exciting opportunity to showcase the restaurants' cuisine, and to highlight their best creations.

Restaurants may choose to feature dishes that are most popular among guests, signature menu items, or their chefs' favorites! Restaurants are encouraged to include Tampa Bay and/or Florida products on their Restaurant Week menu so that the event will leave a lasting impression with diners, including many who may be trying a restaurant for the first time!
