Miami Winery Stimulates Economy And Senses Through Wining And Dining
SUNBOX ELEVEN WINERY, a boutique Miami-based California winery, has created a maverick business model. Teaming up with some of the most celebrated and up and coming bon vivants to create unique events is a novel approach to marketing and eating, as well as a win-win for the guests, businesses, chefs and winery.
It has been the desire of SUNBOX Eleven Winery to create mutually beneficial relationships with restaurants and wine shops that carry their wine by partnering on unique events to promote marketing and exposure for both.
"Offering our creativity and support to those who carry our wine is so rewarding" explained the Winery's owner, Sunny Fraser. She further stated, "Helping restaurants like the newly opened 5300 Chop House gain well deserved attention is what we are all about." It is the goal of Sunbox Eleven Winery to take this Chef's Collaboration Dinner on the road all over town.
The value of this type of exposure and partnering is PRICELESS and other restaurants are encouraged and welcome to join the fun.
At the most recent event, DAVID K. GORDON (AKA CHEF SUPERDAVE), Miami's only Chef Winemaker, formerly of JADA restaurant fame and Executive Chef JOSH WAHLER of Hell's Kitchen fame, created Passing of the Toque...A Chef's Collaboration, a dinner to end all dinners! Seven one-of-a-kind dishes were served, each visually alluring and paired with the perfect choice of wine from SUNBOX Eleven Winery simply made your mouth HAPPY!! (www.sunboxeleven.com ).
The Dynamic Duo collaborated on an exclusive wine pairing dinner this past Thursday evening at 5300 Chop House (www.5300chophouse.com) located in the recently opened boutique hotel, THE BLUE. Chef Josh invited Chef Superdave to share his kitchen and prepare dishes that reflected their distinct perspectives on food and wine pairing.
The first course started with Chef Superdave's Vanilla Infused Shellfish Cappuccino with a Vietnamese Cinnamon Froth topped with an Amber Rock Candy and King Crab Swizzler followed by Chef Josh's Crispy Skinned Hawaiian Kona Kanpachi with a Spiced Coconut Saffron Curry. THE NICE, a shockingly smooth, white wine has a subtle, peachy cream splendor and its angelic, honeysuckle sweetness was a natural compliment to this course. Chef Superdave laughed when one guest suggested that the Cappuccino dish should be under lock and key...well protected...like a secret formula!!!
Finishing the evening's gastronomic spectacle was a Sterling Silver Souffl with THE MAVERICK Wine Syrup (yes, the souffl had real silver dust), which was the Pice de rsistance. Accompanied by a glass of THE NICE, the versatility of the wine's ability to compliment savory to sweet dishes was reinforced.
Seth Marmor, President of the South Palm Beach Bar Association, drove over 40 miles to attend and said he would do it again. He further shared that he had already purchased several cases of SUNBOX Eleven wines.
The 2007 exclusive releases included the winery's THE NAUGHTY, THE NICE and THE MAVERICK. Sunbox Eleven truly defines why grapes are the fruit of the Gods!
SUNBOX Eleven Winery owner, Sunny Fraser and Chef Winemaker, David K. Gordon (AKA Chef Superdave) reside here in South Florida and believe that when you pair the word "wine" with "adventure," it will always be epic.
