Michelin Starred Farmhouse Inn & Restaurant Announces Remarkable Harvest Invitation
- In celebration of the late California summer season, when the dazzling harvest from its own gardens and ranch is showcased throughout the award winning restaurants menu, Farmhouse Inn & Restaurant announces a special Harvest offer. For a limited time only, experience a three-night stay in a spectacular new Barn room, and a five-course dinner for two, at one of only three Sonoma County restaurants starred in the 2009 Michelin Guide, will be included.
Consistently ranked one of the Wine Country's best restaurants and named "One of "The World's 36 Best Food Destinations" by Gourmet Magazine, Farmhouse restaurant is a rural haven for sophisticated, seasonal dining where each plate chef Steve Litke creates tells a story about Sonoma County. For the five-course tasting menu he will harness the bold flavors of the lavish late summer harvest from produce grown on the Farmhouses own ranch such as vine ripened, heirloom tomatoes, honey from the Farm's own hives, wild blackberries, heirloom apples and shell beans and old world Italian varietal pumpkins.
Farmhouse wine director Geoff Kruth is one of only 170 sommeliers worldwide to earn the esteemed title of Master Sommelier, and is the sole recipient in Sonoma County. Guests can choose from his splendid wine list of small production local wines complimented by a carefully chosen international selection, or allow Geoff to pair his choice of wines to enhance the bountiful tasting menu.
The romantic, architect-designed Barn was just completed in May, and its eight rooms offer unparalleled comfort, style and substance. Built to evoke the many historic barns and water towers dotting the surrounding vineyards and hillsides, Barn rooms blur the lines between the indoors and out. Large doors and windows onto private decks tucked into mature trees create a sense of perfect privacy and tranquility. Both lavish and humble, the Barn honors bold architecture accented with simple, yet elegant furnishings. Weathered wood, stone and earth tones create a serene environment from which to savor the surroundings. Each barn room offers an Italian Carrera marble bathroom with jetted tub framed by large windows overlooking the woods and indoor-outdoor fireplace, separate steam shower, double vanity, radiant heat, large, private outdoor deck with easy chairs, sumptuous bedding, flat screen TV, stereo, writing desk, and a coffered or vaulted ceiling.
The Harvest Offer starts at $1,575.00 per couple for three nights and includes a superb two-course breakfast each morning and one magnificent five-course dinner for two. Does not include wine, tax or gratuity. Subject to availability, this offer expires October 31st, 2009. For reservations please call 800 464 6642 or visit www.farmhouseinn.com.
